Hello my friends,
My highest priority as an esthetician continues to be the safety, health and well being of my clients. Between each client, I am routinely cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting my studio to ensure a clean, safe space for the next guest.
Unfortunately, facial services (which include direct contact with the client’s eyes, nose and mouth) present a higher risk of exposure for the practitioner given the close proximity and amount of time spent with each person’s uncovered face. For this reason I am temporarily removing facials from my menu of services.
I will still be offering the following:
Eyelash & eyebrow tinting
Free Jane Iredale make-up color matching sessions
Jane Iredale Mineral Make-Up and Epionce Skin Care are still available for purchase in my spa.
Free curbside delivery to my beloved clients who don't quite feel safe leaving their homes.
Please see my previous update below for additional information and helpful tips for your next in-person appointment. I am hopeful that our community can work together to reduce the number of coronavirus cases. We are all learning together and we must stay positive as we continue to help each other. Stay connected to your family, friends and neighbors. Remember, difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. Don't lose hope.

RE-OPENING and UPDATES June, 1, 2020
Hello everyone! I have missed you all SO much and I very much appreciate all of your sweet messages and support during the last few months. Washington county is officially in Phase 1 of re-opening as of June 1. I have deep cleaned the studio, written out my new protocols and new policies and have all of my PPE ordered! Just waiting for the final items to arrive in the mail so I can open my doors to you. I have a very hopeful re-opening date of Sunday, 6/7/2020. It has been acknowledged that all services within the Professional Beauty Industry (Cosmetology, Barbering, Nails and Esthetics) carry some risk in this viral environment due to the nature of the services provided and the inability to maintain social distancing. With that said, licensed professionals like myself have been trained to mitigate these risks significantly through the use of proper infection control standards required by the state regulatory licensing rules and regulations. I have written out the changes that will temporarily occur for those of you that would like to schedule an appointment during this time.
*Appointments are required, no walk-in appointments at this time.
*I will need you to fill out a health and consent form on the day of your appointment before you enter the building. I will be texting or emailing this form to you on the morning of your scheduled appointment.
*Masks are required in the SOLA Salons building at all times. I will have you remove your mask for your facial treatment once I have my face shield in place and you must put it back on before you leave.
*Please wait in your car before your appointment. Temporarily, Sola Salons will be keeping the front doors locked. I will contact you via text or phone once I have properly disinfected the studio for you. I will then meet you at the front door and escort you to my studio.
*I am temporarily limiting the number of clients I see per day and will be blocking 30 minutes between clients for required sanitation and disinfection protocols.
*I will be offering a non-contact credit/debit payment at the end of the appointment. Cash and check is still allowed, but not preferred.
*During the COVID-19 outbreak, I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all of you. I hope this alleviates any stress and hesitation you may have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, I understand and request for you to please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations at this time.
*SOLA Salons has hired a cleaning company to clean the bathrooms daily with EPA certified disinfectant cleaners. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be at the entry and near the bathrooms and all hand soap in the bathrooms will be switched to anti-microbial soap.
*If you are bringing in a minor for their appointment, I will meet you outside before and after. We can take care of payment outside afterwards. For your own appointments, I ask that you please leave young children at home during this time.
Thank you for your understanding of all the temporary changes. There will be a vaccine eventually. Until then, I will do my best to provide a stress free zone for you to escape to. Please text or email me if you have any further questions. See you all soon!

March 16, 2020
At this time, my highest priority is the safety, health, and well-being of my clients and our community. Based on recommendations from global health authorities, I am temporarily closing and not taking appointments until it is safe to do so. If you need any skin care or make-up products, I am happily offering free curbside delivery if I have them in stock and taking payment over the phone or by check. If I don't have what you need, please still contact me and I will have your products shipped directly to you. Call or send me a text with your requests at: (503) 853-4473.
I encourage you to make some time for self-care and keep a daily routine during this time! It is so important to take some time for you. Here are some ideas while we are stuck at home to keep your spirits up! Meditate, do some at home yoga via You Tube, paint, play upbeat music while doing your daily chores, open up the blinds and get proper sunlight, call your family and friends (including me if you want to!) For the time being, remember that we are all in this together. I will be thinking of each of you and I truly hope you are all staying home, healthy and positive.
